Ideas for Winter Bulletin Boards

Winter bulletin boards are some of my favorites to create! They make you feel warm and cozy, and since I live in San Diego, they give the pretense of a Winter wonderland (even if it’s 80 degrees out)!

December can be such a hectic time in the classroom. When we come back in January I like for everything to feel fresh and new (for myself and for the kids).

A couple of years into teaching I realized that if I had the students make Winter crafts before we went on break in December, I’d have everything ready to go when we came back in January! Some years I would go into school during break and change out the boards. Other years, I would just have the wording and art piled up and ready for me when I came back.

Below I am listing my favorite Winter bulletin board activities to do with your students. If you can, try and do a couple before Winter break and you will be amazed at how organized you feel when you come back in January!

I don’t have a link to this bulletin board, but it would be easy to do with the die-cut machine. I also think it would be super cute if you added in your favorite gingerbread books around this board!

I’ve also done this art project with a polar bear and the mosaic background as well, and it was adorable!!
