Texture Touch Boxes
Students will have the best smiles on their faces during this activity! Teachers collect empty tissue boxes and place different options into them. Then, students reach their hands-on to feel the items. This is a great way for them to explore different textures while working to describe items. After students record their thoughts, everyone can share their predictions. Teachers can then reveal the items in each box.
Guess That Scent
Similar to the above activity, this lets students focus on the smell! Teachers will place different items in paper bags. Then, students can close their eyes and smell the different bags. They will love making guesses about each bag and seeing if they are right!
