Map Skills Unit for Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Ready to take your students on a geography adventure? This map skills unit is one of my favorite resources for the early elementary classroom. It makes a tricky concept feel totally manageable (and really fun!) for little learners.

This unit walks students through everything they need to know about reading a map, starting with the compass rose and cardinal directions, building into spatial reasoning, and finishing with real map-reading practice using legends and keys.
