CHAMPS Behavior Management Editable Notebook

I previously shared with all of you how the CHAMPS Behavior Management system works and how I’ve used it with great success in my classroom! It allows you to set clear expectations for your students and avoid MANY behavior issues before they start.

In my previous post, I talked all about my CHAMPS posters that work perfectly in a pocket chart or attached to a whiteboard.

In this post, I want to introduce you to the editable notebook version of CHAMPS that (depending on your classroom situation) might be a great solution to communicate your classroom expectations.

Small Size

These CHAMPS signs fit on a single sheet of paper. I print them out and put them in plastic sheet protectors and then store them all together in a binder that I can easily pull from.

The small size also makes them easier to post in multiple places around the classroom. Here are some examples of where you can hang CHAMPS signs in your classroom:

  • Classroom Library
  • Centers Area
  • Computer Station
  • Bathroom
  • Backpack Area
  • Recess Equipment Area

These signs give students a great reminder about the expectations in each of the areas of your classroom.

Same Activity, Same Expectation

These signs work really well if you have the same expectations for a particular activity every day. If you are always going to want the students to remain silent and stay in their spot during silent reading, then these signs might work well for you.

In this resource, I’ve created 35 premade signs that you can just print and use immediately. These signs were made with basic expectations that I’ve seen in many classrooms.

While many of us have the same expectations, everyone’s classroom and school site are different and that’s why I created an editable component to this resource as well.

Editable to Meet Your Needs

Teachers always asked me to make CHAMPS editable, but up until fairly recently, clip art artists didn’t allow their work to be movable.

When clip art artists started allowing for some clip art to be movable this was the first resource I knew I wanted to incorporate that on!

Within the Google Drive portion of the resource, you can edit the heading, all of the categories and match your expectation with cute clip art!

In the video below you will see how I make a sign. In the video, I am cutting and pasting the clip art so that I can use the same image again if I want to, but you can just drag and drop the clip art you want as well. All clip art options are available on every slide.
